This salad dryer comes with handles on the side for easy movement, a direct drive system for the drying basket and sealed gears so food cannot lodge into the gears. But what makes this unit stand out in the commercial field besides its heavy duty FDA approved plastic construction, is its patented braking system. When spinning the basket with the lettuce, the users would use the handle to stop the basket. This put a tremendous strain on the gears which would finally break.
